OVER BAND MAGNETIC SEPARATOR


SUSPENDED PERMANENT MAGNETIC OVER BAND SEPARATORS are specifically designed to remove tramp metal from the products carried by Belt, Vibratory Feeders or inclined planes.

Over Bands are specially used to protect Machines such as Crushers, Shredders etc. , to remove Ferrous particles and purify the products (Foundries, Coal Mines, Cement Works, Food and Chemical Industries, Domestic Waste Recycling Plants)

These Magnetic Overband Seperators are used where automatic removal of Ferrous Comtamination is required. If not, fixed permanent Suspension Magnets are more suitable.

Applications :

Five types of Separators re-designed to operate at a pre-determined working gap over the Conveyor i.e. 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, and 300mm.

While choosing the type of Over Band, the speed of the belt, the nature of the product, its density, its granulometry and the size of the piece which is to be extracted  are the parameters to be taken into consideration.

Construction :

Two U-Section pieces are fixed on the Magnet by Fastening ears and are supported by  bearings of Drums. Cambered Machined drums. Cambered Machined drums are equipped with shafts mounted on removable hubs. For tightening the belt, all the bearings are equipped with Stakes. 

Reduction Gear Coupled to Electric Motor/Geared Motor by V-Belts is used to drive the Belt.

Magnet Unit : 

The Magnet is produced out of High intensity Stroncium Ferrite Magnets and is guaranteed for the Magnetic Power throughout the life of operation. A non-magnetic Stainless Steel Plate is provided to covert the poles of Magnet. Electrical supply or maintenance is not at all necessary.

Installation :

The Unit can be installed online over the terminal head pulley (Fig-1) or transversal to the Conveyor (Fig-2). It is necessary to forsee Non-Magnetic Products Under the Magnetic Field.

The most efficient position is inline (Fig-1) over the head pulley. The material is conveyed
in virtual suspension and tram iron therefore is more readily extracted.

For obtaining very good results, combine a Permanent Magnetic Over Band with Permanent Magnetic Pullehy at the discharge end.
